» About Team KNFr
KNFr is a group of people who mostly play Halo PC and some of us also play Counter Strike: Source. Many of us have been playing Halo since the day it was released on Xbox, while some of us are new converts to the game, but all of us are ninjas (with knives, bitch!). We play strictly shields gametypes, because they are the only type played at tournaments. For more of our reasoning on this, click here.

All KNFr members are treated equally. Although there are founders of the team, they are not "leaders". All of our members are encouraged to participate in recruiting new members, and we leave the final decision to a vote of the entire clan. If you want to join our team, you must first read our code of conduct. Then you can drop by our forums and request a tryout with your information. To be a part of KNFr means that you exhibit a high level of ninja-esque'ness. We seek to aquire members of the highest calibur, not just in their skill level, but in their intelligence and maturity as well. For this reason, we are very picky about who we let on to our team. Children are warned to stay far away from us, as we may inflict a heavy negative influence on your parent's ideals.

KNFr does not participate in any leagues or ladders, such as KlanWars or TWL. We play to have fun, but that does not mean that we are n00bs. All members of KNFr have been authenticated as non-cheaters through the use of Halo Antihack, but if you believe you have seen a KNFr member cheating and/or hacking, please report it on our forums. We do not condone cheating of any sort here at KNFr.

» What Does KNFr Mean?
This question has plauged man for centuries. KNFr is to knife as SPNKr is to spank. A KNFr is a master of all weapons, most especially the trusty knife. A knife never jams and a knife has no recoil, it is the perfect weapon. For those of you reading who are a bit slower, KNFr simply means "knifer". In fact, KNFr is the word "knifer" spelled without vowels. Amazing.

» KNFr Team Code of Conduct:
Rules are often referred to as "meant to be broken", but at KNFr we do not believe strict rules are necessary or even practical. Rules in our view are merely a conservative attempt to control people who are perfectly capable of using their own good judgement. We believe that governing codes should be more like guidelines rather then commandments or demands. This is a set of guidelines which we wish for our members and prospective members to observe.

No children are allowed to join KNFr. No exceptions.
All members are to be treated with equal respect.
On the same topic of respect, members should conduct themselves as if their actions reflect the entire team as a whole. Don't tarnish the KNFr name by disrespecting others.
This brings us to the next point: integrity. Don't act like a prick to everyone you see just because you think you are better then them. However, if you are winning, you're entitled to talk all the shit you want.
KNFr members will try their hardest when wearing the KNFr tag. If you are just going to mess around, do it on an anonymous name.
If you are in KNFr, you are to be in KNFr and KNFr alone. No member is allowed to be in a clan with competing interests with KNFr.
Members are expected to be actively involved with the team. If for some reason we do not hear from you for a notable length of time, you will be removed from the team.
Members are expected to help with tryouts and give feedback on prospective members.
Everyone who becomes involved with us must recognize that rules are, in fact, meant to be broken, but in a reasonable, logical way.

» KNFr Server Guidelines:

Cheating and/or hacking on our severs will not be tolerated.
Trash talk, lude behavior, racist remarks and all other offensive comments are okay, unless someone specifically asks you to stop. Even if it is not a KNFr member asking you to stop, if you persist, you will be kicked. We try to run a public-friendly server. Keep in mind that if someone is saying something that you don't like, all you have to do is ask them to stop if it is on our server.
If you have access to Rcon, do not abuse your privledges by kicking or banning people who are not misbehaving or blantantly cheating. If you feel a KNFr member is abusing their power, please report it on our forums.
Anyone seen wearing a KNFr tag who is not a KNFr member will be permanently banned from our servers.

» Why We Play with Shields:

There has never been a major national or international Halo tournament with no-shield gametype settings.
A lucky and/or random sniper shot to someone's toe in a standard no-shield game will give you a kill.
If you throw a random grenade in a standard no-shields game it's likely you will get a killtacular with no extra effort or help from anyone.
Spawn killing is incredibly easy, mainstream and necessary in no-shields games.
Hiding and/or camping is a much more applicable "strategy" in a no-shield game.
Most no-shields gamers do not know what a TSK is. Performing a TSK is considered one of the most quintessential expressions of skill in Halo.
Most no-shields gamers do not appreciate the skill involved in a no-scope, flick-shot headshot, rather then just a random body shot.
No-shields gamers usually can not get a killtacular with a single sniper or pistol clip in a shields game, whereas a shields gamer who can do this in a shields game could easily do it in a no-shields game.
No-shields gamers do not appreciate, or often times even know of, the backslap. In standard no-shields games, almost every melee is an instant kill, but in a shields game only a melee to the back will be a surefire kill, even when an overshield is charging.
That's another thing...no-shields gamers do not understand the overshield, or even the regular shield, when it comes to their reaction to plasma weapons, specifically plasma grenades. Some of you know what I'm talking about, some do not. Those who don't are either no-shields gamers, or new to the game (aka n00bs).
A no-shields gamer will usually do worse in a shields game, whereas a shields gamer will do better in a no-shields game.
No-shield gamers lack testicles.

» History of the KNFr Ninjas:
There is no great abundance of historical records concerning the early ninja; in fact, there is very little evidence of these persons' existence at all. One reason may be because ninjas were spies, so remaining a secret was vital. It is popularly believed that the ancient ninja were peasants, forbidden under law from studying the samurai swordplay techniques because of feudal Japan's caste structure. For this reason, the ninja may have become the quintessential swordfighter. Out-cast from society's upperclass training, the ninjas sought out what training they could with far more vigilance and desire. Ultimately, this would lead to the ninja becoming a samurai's worst enemy. Outside of the modern schools teaching ninjutsu, there is little verifiable evidence that ninja existed as such in feudal times, at least in the form known from modern movies, video gaming and popular fiction. The story of KNFr begins long, long ago, in the Himalayas. There rose the fiercest ninjas that tormented the cities of Nepal. The peasants, althought poor, kept their heads straight up in harsh times. One day, a man named Gautama wandered these areas hoping to spread his teachings to them. They lasted for sometime until the ninjas destroyed the peasants' homes. They were outraged. Struck down by the fury of the ninjas! Their hate and anger however, were kept secret. A secret group named KNFr was made to put down these infidels. Accompanied by the Holy Buddha himself, they fought in the mountains silent and quick, ripping all of these infidels heads and hanging them in their dorms to show the signs of the KNFr.

India rose to power during these times and began expanding its lands north. What they didn't know was that this was the territory of the KNFr. Now this was not a regime, but rather freedom fighters. KNFr however did not seek peace towards anyone that opposed them and they were famous for their beheadings and scalpings. They wandered through Aeston City (a secret place in Asialand) like cats in the night. A tree was planted in the middle of this city and remains there to this day. Legend says that whoever possess the magnificent power of the KNFr today has a bloodline connection with the original KNFr, a smooth sort of "sauce" which flows through their bloodstream. These people are able to gain their KNFr power and use it in whatever way they feel necessary. The only threat that they have in modern times are the "h4x0rz", a regime so great, only the best are able to take them on. Will you be the next one in history to harness the power of the KNFr and defeat the evil h4x0rz regime?

Here at KNFr, we are committed to seeking out individuals with a high concentration of leet sauce in their bloodstreams. However, it must be pure, organic, naturally-occurring leet sauce which you were born with. There are those who believe that they can somehow "learn" to make their body produce this vital fluid, but alas they are doomed to a lifetime of mediocricy. That is not to say that everyone who possesses leet sauce is automatically aware of it...even the ancient ninjas had to learn how to utilize and fine-tune their abilities.

Today, KNFr resides in the secret Asian city/underground bunker, secluded fully in sub-surface shadows and shrouded in secrecy by bushes. You will not find us, we will find you. The reason for this secrecy is so that we do not get infiltrated by the h4x0rz regime. They are a sneaky bunch of bastards, mostly covert operatives. You usually won't know they're a part of the regime until it is too late. There once was an incident where the h4xz0rz regime was able to break into Aeston City. Syntax errors roamed through the destroyed city. The regime had attacked Aeston City and layed ruin to it. The women and children layed in a sense of boneitisnessicity. KNFr had to know where this regime resided. Extensive searches throug expansive mountain ranges and dark, damp forests revelead that a placed called "KW" is home to the gruesome h4x0rz regime.

KNFr layed its eyes on its only tree, the only thing left standing in the entire city. So KNFr began sparring the tree, Asian-ninja-psycho style. KNFr bled from its bruised, raw flesh, being continually ripped open by the abrasive tree bark, but KNFr persisted. Practice, practice, practice. Revenge must be sought. It's h4xz0rz vs Ninjas.

» KNFr is Always Recruiting «
KNFr is always looking for new talent. To qualify, you must 1) have the skill of a ninja, of course, 2) be intelligent and 3) be mature.
If you think you meet this basic criteria, then go to the members section for more details. If you are interested in a tryout, you will have to post a tryout request on our forums. Tryouts for KNFr are not 1 on 1 games; you will play numerous games with our members so we can determine how you do overall. Just try to do your best, and if you don't make it in, you can always try again.
